Them vs. Solv

You download it. You check it once. You forget it exists.

Any app can connect to your bank account.

The fix never sticks

You correct a merchant's category this month, and next month the same charge lands wrong again. The upkeep never really stops, so eventually you stop keeping up.

Alert overload

So many notifications for things that don't matter that you end up muting the app entirely — and once it's muted, it's already gone.

Surface-level data

It shows you what happened. It doesn't tell you what's normal for you — no sense of your typical spending, just raw numbers with no context.

Here's what Solv does instead

Fix it once

Recategorize any merchant from anywhere in the app. Choose “going forward” and Solv writes the rule — then repairs the past transactions it already got wrong.

Daily, weekly, monthly recaps

A check-in that shows up on its own, at whichever cadence you pick, so you never have to remember to go look.

Quick and in-depth, by category

General, subscriptions, shopping, and income — each with its own quick look and a deeper dive when you want it, plus search across every transaction.

Interactive demo — not a screenshot

How Solv is different

Three rules we don't break.

1

Every finding is verifiable

No claim about your spending ships unless it can be traced directly back to a transaction in your history. If we can't prove it, we don't say it.

2

No judgment scoring

Your dashboard leads with Safe to spend — expected income, minus expected bills, minus your savings target, spread across the days you have left. Arithmetic you can check. No invented 0–10 score standing in for it.

3

Signal over noise

Quick Hits are capped at 5. Key Findings are capped at 6. You get what actually matters this period, not a wall of alerts.

How it works

Three steps. About two minutes.

1

Connect your bank

Link accounts securely through Plaid. Read-only — Solv can never move your money.

2

Solv reads your history

Every transaction gets scanned for verifiable patterns — recurring charges, price changes, category spikes.

3

You get the findings

Your Dashboard and four reports — General, Subscriptions, Shopping, Income — update automatically as new transactions land, with Search across every transaction behind them.

Questions

Frequently asked

How does Solv Personal connect to my bank?+

Solv connects through Plaid, the same infrastructure used by thousands of banking and finance apps. Your login credentials go directly to your bank or through Plaid's encrypted connection — Solv never sees or stores your bank password.

What makes a ‘finding’ different from a budgeting alert?+

Every finding Solv shows you is tied to a specific, checkable pattern in your actual transaction history — a price increase, a new recurring charge, a spending spike in a category. Solv never shows a claim it can't trace back to a transaction, and it never assigns a subjective health score.

Can I try Solv before creating an account?+

Yes. The live demo on this page runs on illustrative data — no real account is connected — so you can click through the Dashboard and open any report before you ever enter your bank information.

Is my data ever sold or shared?+

No. Solv does not sell transaction data or share it with advertisers. Your financial data is used only to generate the findings and reports you see in your own account.

Which banks does Solv support?+

Solv supports thousands of banks and credit unions through the Plaid network, including all major U.S. banks and most regional and community institutions.

What does Solv Personal cost?+

Nothing right now. Solv is in closed testing — there's no subscription, no trial that converts into one, and no payment method on file. If that ever changes, you'll see the price in advance and be asked to agree to it separately. You can delete your account, and everything in it, from Settings at any time.

Is Solv Personal finished?+

No, and we'd rather say so up front. Solv is in closed testing with a small invited group, before any full external security audit. Numbers, categories and recurring charges can be wrong — check anything important against your bank directly, and don't treat Solv as your system of record. You'll be asked to acknowledge this before you connect an account.

See what your money's actually doing.

No spreadsheets. No invented scores. Just what your transactions actually show.
